Callie Wentling has a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, USA, a post-graduation in Smart Cities and is currently developing her thesis for the Geographic Information Systems masters degree at NOVA IMS in Lisbon. She is particularly interested in community sustainability and hyperlocal news media tools.

Callie intends to leverage her previous experience in IoT sensor design with smart sustainable city best practices to enact meaningful interventions. Currently, she is collaborating with local governments and community stakeholders to develop strategies to implement circular economy and citizen-centric practices.
