European Regions for Smart Communities Summit

It will gather local and regional leaders from across Europe to discuss how to involve the citizens and stakeholders in co-promoting smarter small cities, towns, villages and regions for a better tomorrow, as well as key-speakers from European Institutions.

The summit features sessions, forum, dialogs, workshops, labs, cultural moments and activities aimed at enhancing the role of regional and urban hubs of Smart Communities in achieving the green, blue and bright digital transformation.

Themes and topics to be debated during 2022 edition are:

Day 1 – Keyword: EUROPE; Smarter Communities, better Europe
Day 2 – Keyword: INVESTMENT; Stronger governance, Smarter territories
Day 3 – Keyword: INNOVATION; Regional Innovation, Europe better fit for future
Day 4 – Keyword: EXCELLENCE; Stronger cooperation, Smarter transformation
Day 5 – Keyword: LEADERSHIP; Smarter regions, stronger Europe

The Summit is organised by the H2020-AURORAL project led by CCDR Alentejo, with the support from Alentejo Europe Initiative, European Committee of the Regions (CoR), Living in EU, RegHub, European Digital SME Alliance and IrRADIARE, Science for Evolution. AURORAL is a H2020 project, funded under 2020’s cross-sector digital service platforms call, under grant agreement nr101016854. The organization committee is led Marcos António Nogueira, Alentejo EU office, in Brussels, permanent representative and project coordinator.
